"How about a big slice of Hermiston watermelon or a handful of ripe strawberries grown in Forest Grove? Or would you prefer a serving of roasted asparagus and a scoop of black bean and corn salad the lunch lady made fresh this morning, seasoning it with lime juice and fresh cilantro?"

This part blew my mind: "The biggest single change: Ranch dressing, consumed by the gallon in most cafeterias last year, is gone. Serving real-meat chicken in place of chicken that was shredded, pressed and molded will cost an extra $60,000 -- roughly the same amount the district spent on all that ranch dressing last year. "
