Our kids have been besties with Team C since they were in the womb. One of the hardest parts of our move to Amsterdam was saying goodbye to these guys. We are old college friends, PDX neighbors, running buddies and for the last 6+ years we have been parents together. It was such a joy to get the kids back together a few weeks ago (when we were in PDX) after 14+ months apart...
Needless to say, they picked up right were they left off.
LC was super mom (she always is...but she really stepped up her game while we were there). She hosted play dates - day after day after day...and watched over my kids while O was in surgery and recovery (surgery will be a separate post, when i get it together...it was his knee he will be fine). When the kids and I had to leave PDX to head to Ohio...LC stepped in to take care of O for another week. We moved O into her house where she and MC (and the kids) nursed him back to health. What amazing friends! Just amazing.
The kids had an absolute blast reconnecting. They are still all smiles and giggles when we reminisce about the fun times they shared with Team C in Portland. We'll be back on the block someday soon, lots of good times ahead.
