Dutch Stairs

Here is a random post.

Stairs over here are a dangerous thing.  Google "dutch stairs" you'll learn fast what I mean.  They are just  so  too steep.  Every family, dutch and expat, has a horror story about their own stairs.

Jlo captured this shot when she visited back in November, I always meant to share it.  So, voila.  Presenting our crazy stairs.

Compared to almost everyone else that I know over here, our set is so mellow.

Meow

I don't love pets.  I am not a cat person or a dog person.  However, I do have a sweet spot for quirky museums.  Now that I am aware this one exists, I am pretty sure I need to check it out.

Plus, the cat cabinet, Kattenkabinet in dutch,  is in a gorgeous old canal house - a chance to wonder through it may be reason enough to plan a visit.

We love ours so much, we even dragged her across the ocean with us.  And yet we use her so little.  As I peek at her she looks so lonely out back all alone.  This post has inspired me to love on her more in 2014.

Funny Confession #261

Nothing says "vacation is over" better than a trip to Albert Heijn (grocery store). As Zen as I try to be in this place, I always leave feeling annoyed.
