Halloween
Trick or Treat doesn't happen until Wednesday. I know it will be awesome. But Wednesday is a bad day for trick or treat. We both work all day, kids are at school all day...and then there is always traffic...so weeknight Halloween always feels kind of rushed.
Today was the opposite of rushed and stressed. It was perfect. On a whim we hit up the Halloween party at the children's museum. It was so so great.

The captains and I had a blast. P was so proud of her uniform. She was convinced that others thought she was a real cop...
I found her a play doughnut (ok, bagel) at the museum to stage this awesome photo.
Boo!
Can you feel the excitement she was experiencing just by looking at that sweet face?! I thought she may explode...

How many baskets tall are you?
Powell's is a special place. We had a playdate with cousin G there on Tuesday, somehow I didn't get any pictures with cousin G. He is probably about 5-6 baskets tall.
Street Art
I love this shot that my friend LF posted from her honeymoon (taken in Italy, Greece or Croatia)
Want to see more fantastic street art that I looooove, click here!
And here is a bit of local street art, spotted here.

Funny Confession #178
The only times that I ever wish my kids were bigger (more independent) are when portapotties (or airplane bathrooms) are involved.
Super Sweet 16
My girl KK celebrated her super sweet 16 a few days ago. 16 years with her amazing "new" lungs and going oh so strong! Can't wait to celebrate with her and her lungs when they come to PDX in a few short weeks!

Weekend snaps
Friday night lights in the rain, cyclocross, picking out a fab outfit, art projects and foliage. How was yours?

Son of a Fritsch
Love these, oldies but goodies. I love that O was rocking Nikes. I love that telephone on the stoop. O and his bro AF tell a hilarious story about the house in the picture. It involves climbing on that peaked roof, above the door, to peek in the bedroom window...
1, 2 and 3
Baby GG is one today, which makes my bestie the mama of a 1, 2 and 3 year old. Can you imagine?! Oh how I love this family. Look at those faces, what is not to love? Happy bday sweet Gav.

Commuter
I have lived in PDX nearly 7 years, and today was my first time biking to work. Better late than never. What a way to commute! Loved it!

b positive
Yesterday the rain came. It will probably be here on and off (mostly on) for months. It would be easy to bum out about the rain. We try to embrace it. We had an epic stretch of amazing weather from April through Mid October (minus June, what was up with June?!). And winter rain in the city means snow up on Mt. Hood. Oh how we love the mountain snow.
Like many things, the rain is mind over matter.
The rain, and my attempts to embrace it, got me thinking about b positive. Have you heard about this company? Founded in Boston in 2009, founder Stephen Martin created the company "on accident" after he threw a fundraiser to send sick children to a Red Sox game and realized that spreading positivity and doing good things for others was his passion.
Popping on a "b positive" shirt may help if you are struggling to be optimistic. I was gifted a shirt and I rocked it yesterday happy to participate in the positive project. Thank you friend, for the thoughtful surprise. And to the folks working hard at b positive, good for you.
