Funny Confession #192
The mountain is buzzing right now. It's holiday time and the conditions are perfection (sun, snow, repeat). Traffic has been a little hectic, this is rush hour in front if our house.
If you aren't on Instagram, you miss shots like these.

Tree Snails
There must be a proper name for this phenomena. I call them tree snails. So much snow the tips of the trees fold over themselves and the snow rolls up like a snail shell. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Loving my XC gear
I love the way the snow pillows lay on the branches in the woods. Just outside our door, there are miles and miles of gorgeous trails. I wish you all could breathe in some of this crisp mountain fresh air. Ahhhh. 2012 has been good, so good.

Summit Meadow Cabins
These rad mountain cabins are located on the Trillium lake loop (my new favorite place to xc ski). The cabins cannot be accessed by car. People xc ski or trek in on snowshoes. Today I saw a few families working their way back, towing babies, gifts, food, Xmas trees. It looked like a lot of work, but pretty magical.
Funny Confession #191
Local, all natural, pricey...I consider this health food. I also have confidence that its fine to eat it raw.

Big News
I can't keep it in any longer. We are moving. To......AMSTERDAM!
Photos from here. We'll go in February. Blog should get interesting...join me for the adventure.
Some of my past posts get me kinda super excited:
My first purchase will be a rad new minivan (bike version)
I'd love to live in the center of town, but if we needed to be in the burbs for O's commute, this town looks a-OK.
We have never stopped talking about the boulabaise at this place. I fear it closed because the website is down, i hope I'm wrong because I want to go back.
Please share your Amsterdam scoop/experience/expertise...and come visit.
