Sad Day

Today is the saddest day of MissP's short life. Birdie and Bry just left in a cab...P and I are both crying...

B&B - Thank you so much for coming and taking such great care of us. I can't believe all that you did! In 4 weeks I have not been to the grocery store, cooked a meal, cleaned up a meal, done any laundry, made any beds, taken out trash, loaded/unloaded dishwasher, or run any random errands. I also was treated to daily chai latte delivery, a daily nap, a cleaned out and organized closet (no more wire hangers!), along with cleaned out closets for oli, w and p. Oh, and a reorganized linen closet. Also, they sat with the babes while O and I went out on a few dates. Wow!

That is not all...

I was able to get away for a mani/pedi. Our fridge has been cleaned out and organized, we have a cleaned out oven, and a clean stove. All toilets in the house are clean, all rugs are vacuumed. Pictures have been hung. Shoe racks have been constructed and organized. All beds and cribs have clean sheets. My car has a new light, is full of gas and both car seats have been professionally installed. Flowers have been planted in pots that have sat empty (actually full of dead plants) for years. My freezer is packed full of meals to thaw out for the next several weeks.

All random change (from the past 4+ years) has been rolled and counted and is ready for deposit.

They brought a bunch of crap from the basement to the dump for us. They also made several purge runs to goodwill.

All Christmas decor has been packed away.

They made a Costco run and loaded us up on cereal, toilet paper, detergent, paper towels, diapers, wipes...etc. etc.

B and B played countless games of ring-around-the-rosie, read many many baby books - including the tickle monster book a jillion times, practiced their french, changed 1000 diapers, put babies down for naps (including their baby - moi), got babies up from naps, gave baths, listened to hours of ukulele practice (by o and w), and held a newborn baby around the clock.

They are a-m-a-z-i-n-g. We TRULY wish these two would move to Portland already. Not because of all their hard work, but because we love them and they are such best friends to us both (all 4 of us really). We are counting the days until we see them again.

We promise that we will get our family of four to the rubber city soon to play in the playroom, sleep in the kiddo room, and play some more ring-around-the-rosie.

We love you. Safe travels.

Still crying... love you. Merci!

Your parents are the BEST. We are all envious to be sure!

I can only imagine your tears, it's so hard to say good-bye and throw in hormones!

Your parents are so sweet. I know exactly how you feel. My mom is the very same way. She just helps make life EASIER, and then is a blast to have around.
That was so wonderful for them to stay for 4 weeks to help with the transition. You are one lucky girl.
