Back to school got all of us pretty fired up this morning. The kids are both in the same school this year (yipee!). O even joined us for dropoff.
You have probably noticed that WKF only ever wears sports jerseys...and yet today he selected something "fancy" from his minimal selection of hanging clothes. It was as if he knew the first day of (the french school equivalent to) Kindergarten is a HUGE deal and he wanted to be dressed appropriately for the occasion. Ooh la la, a seersucker sport coat for day 1...way to be baby boy.
P was oozing confidence until the moment we walked into her class. She definitely got cold feet, and she had a hard goodbye.
But, when I picked her up (2 very short hours later), she was cool as could be. No.big.deal.
We celebrated day one with some buddies and some lemonade...
...and some biking. I think we all had a super day.
