For Rent

I spiffed up our digs for 7 showings today. How awesome is it that the property manager crammed it all into one day for me? Fingers crossed someone fab fell in love with our sweet abode today! This house is part of the family...the thought of leaving her behind hurts my heart.

Top 5 Under 10

Fast girls have good times.  These nieces of ours ROCKED it this weekend,finishing first and fourth for under 10 girls in a park city ski race (I have a feeling park city ski racing is no joke!).  The N family is so freaking cool (and fast).  We are so proud.

Job Opening?

I am planning to keep (a revised version of) my job in Amsterdam.  However, if it doesn't work out...it looks like there may be an opening in the House of Orange.  I'd make a pretty damn good Queen...

Long Awesome Day

Saturday started with a 5:30 AM run around Amsterdam, and ended with a fab slopeside familydinner in our pjs with mountain besties. In between was a long ass flight, a fabulous reunion with the babes, a quick drive to the mountain and a dunk in the hot tub. I'm crawling into bed now, in a happy, excited, exhausted state. Today was a great day!

We have had soooo little free time on this trip. However, I have been able to pop into a few shops here and there. I am getting the sense that this is a ridiculously good shopping city...

After flying all night we toured 1 school and 8 houses today. Tomorrow we'll do a different school and a bunch more houses. It's happening!

Funny Confession #193

I'm not down with this. Not sure what's worse, a huge dog in the store, or the dog sweater. I could probably roll with one or the other...but both at once I had to jet.

Sweet Foot

I let p hold my phone while I did her pigtails today. She took a few pix. I love those little toes!

Also, the fly on these jeans always looks like that, about to come unzipped. They otherwise fit great. Anyone else have this issue? Annoying.

Senior Year

A great bud sent me this photo. She still lives in Burlington, and must have walked by my old college digs today. KK and I had an adorable apt on the first floor. So many great memories!

Fondue crew

Speaking of Tahoe...our final night in town (last Saturday) was full of friends, family and fondue. Mona and O's dad host the most fun gatherings. Merci!

Legend has it if you are caught skiing down the tram chute (a crazy steep rocky pitch under the tram ) at Squaw, your pass is pulled for life.

Has anyone noticed the recent tracks? I have no idea where they came from and nobody at this fondue party did it (or talked about it all night).

The other photos included in this post are just some totally handsome random guy skiing gnarly steep lines just before sunrise. Totally unrelated to that thing I was talking about regarding skiing under the tram; because I don't know anyone who got up at 4am to hike up and do that.

We go to Tahoe alot.  When we go, we always go to the North shore, that is where our loved ones live.  If I was going as a true tourist, I'd be very tempted to go to the South shore, and stay here...
