Our Mech Engineering curriculum didn't leave much room for Shakespeare studies...and even if it did, would we have signed up for the classes?? Probably not. However, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival is world famous and it is just down the road, and some year I'd really like to go.

Cool Bella
My friend Bella and her big sis S are pretty cool. Every year they work the NFL draft (they are both lawyers and super smart, as well as gorgeous). How great are these pix?! Bella, you are so big time!

We are taking off for a warm adventure this morning. Wish us luck on the airplane. But don't worry PortlandSunshine friends, I have queued up a few super random posts to entertain you while I'm away. And I'll be back in a week. Enjoy the random posts while I'm gone, because you know it will be nothing but boring family vacation photos when I get back.

This documentary just jumped to the top of my wanna see movie list. It looks beautiful and interesting and so appropriate for this stage of my life. I think it will offer great perspective.

Don't Stop Believing!
My college friend and teammate (the gorgeous camp bride) is a teacher in CO. This performance was filmed at her school's talent show! The little boy is going to be on Ellen Tuesday! I can't get the song outta my head. Soooooo cute!

Sad Scooper
I love ALL THINGS ice cream related. I am especially fond of a particular type of scoop - the Lloyd Disher. The past week has not been easy for Lloyd Disher fans like me. The inventor/patent-holder, passed away. He was family to me. I always think of him when I scoop my ice cream. Now I do so more than ever.G-Factor, I hope your iPhone works up there so you can check my blog and see this post. We miss and think of you each night over ice cream! I borrowed the lovely disher pix from this site.
Aloha!
I took some time today to look at old honeymoon pictures....to help get me motivated to pack...for our upcoming family vacation to Hawaii! Aloha! Can't wait. I have a feeling Hawaii will be different with 2 babies...super excited.
It is so hard to believe it has been over 6 years since this trip.

BellBoys
Did anyone else catch these guys (The BellBoys) at the Farmer's Market a few weeks ago? They were amazing. O and I keep talking about how much we loved them. They just belted it out...it was awesome. Our little fam sat down on the pavement to watch them for over an hour and we loved every second of it. They have a show here tonight at 8.

Sweet P's Throne
Several years ago I bought this chair at a great consignment shop in Boston. It was love at first sight for me. I never had the right place to put her, but I never got rid of her.
Along came P. Now this chair has a home in P's room. P and I have spent many late nights and early mornings, chillin' in her throne.

Super Papa
While I was off snowboarding (which was oh so fun)...super papa stepped up and took charge of both babes. He certainly didn't sit around in the condo. Notice SweetP strapped to his chest in all of these shots.

8 Days in OR
In the free time that my sis does not have she should write a book about how to do all of Oregon in 8 days with 2 kids (while preg with #3). I cannot believe all they did while they were here.
Each morning (rain or shine, mostly rain), while my little family was all still asleep in our beds, the L family was up getting coffee from local roasters and hitting up Voodoo Doughnuts.
Z$ got to try lots of different doughnuts, I think she got really good at eating all of the toppings and then leaving the doughnut behind.

Religion was not forgotten while on vacation, they went to (the 24 hour) church (of elvis). I've lived here 4+ years and have never done this.
They checked out multiple breweries, a Portland must-do. All are kid friendly and have decent food as well as good local brews. They went to some we have never tried ourselves.
They made time to swim. Their kids are like fish, amazing.
They overnighted at the coast, this was the view from their condo. The kids and I joined them at the coast for lunch at Mo's.
They hit up Roloff Farms...despite "closed for the season" and "respect our privacy" type signage, they went on up to the house...true fans. We live so close, and have never done this ourselves.
They drove all the way up Mt. Hood...such an amazing drive. We were happy to tag along with them for this adventure. Turning the corner and seeing the peak takes my breath away every time...Her first time seeing snow, Z$ ripped it up on the slopes. She was a total natural, it was amazing.
Her dad hit the slopes too. One blue bird day, one pow day. He hit it right and I was THRILLED to join him both days.
We all ate dinner up at Timberline Lodge, which you may recognize from the movie "The Shining", spooky and so cool.
There was so much snow, the first floor windows of the Lodge were totally covered. Crazy.
