We Heart our Modern Family

Just a father and son out for a walk with their sons in strollers.

Just a dad at the park, watching his 2 boys (and grandson) swing....

How fun (and crazy) is it that O and his dad get to raise their sons together? So crazy, and so fun.

Love That Tram

I wasn't sure if our visting family would be too impressed by a ski tram. Considering they live in a ski resort town...

But the urban tram in Portland is pretty special and unique. On a sunny day I think it's the best way to see the city. I think the Tahoe family agreed. Little bro seemed pretty impressed.

I have mentioned this tram in the past (here and here). It is about a mile away from our house, it is so fun to hike to the top and ride it down and back up. Yeah for Portland!

A Great Visit with Family

What a fun weekend! WKF did lots of hand holding with his grandpere.

O, O's bro and WKF spent lots of time in the park.

Too bad WKF is so camera shy...

These 3 sure had a good time...

O's bro got some fast new shoes...

Thanks for coming guys! Come back soon!

My Artist Hubby

As you may know, I am always trying to be an artist. I have some more work to do, but I do love to paint.

What I didn't know, so you probably didn't know...my hubby was quite the artist when he was younger. Check out this piece, created back in "November 81". I love it.

Thank you Annie for sharing! I want to get my hands on the original...it should be framed and hung in my house...any chance you could part with it??!

Sweet Birthday Party

The mommy blogosphere is crawling with adorable kid's birthday parties. Here are some of my favs (that I have commented on before).

As of today, I have a new favorite bday party post. Here it is.

Ms. Mayhem (mother to 3 and one more on the way) kept it simple, and as my hubby would say, she listened to her customer. She asked sweet Sam what HE wanted to do for his special day.

Sam invited 2 friends and his brother. Among other innocent and simple requests, Sam wanted to eat Pizza at the food court in the mall (who doesn't love food court pizza?!?!) For favors each guest got a claw and a cookie. Love it.

Fork n' Spoon Delivery

I wish I worked right downtown, because I'd definitely use this service. I like it.

Free food cart delivery. Brilliant. Use them and then be sure to tip them well, that is how they make money. Although I haven't tried many, I heart the Portland food carts.

To learn more about this new biz, read this blogtown post. If you use the service, lemme know how it is.

Wow

I feel really guilty about this post, which I made a few months ago. Maybe Michelle read it...because ever since the post, our First Lady has really stepped it up. She has looked super classy on her Euro Tour this week. Not too glam, not too diva, just classy and pulled together...I like it.

Reading List

Per my NYRs, I am supposed to read more.

Just so you know, I am so good at browsing in bookstores. I am also good at buying books.

But I don't actually sit down and read as much as I should. Well, I have 3 new books on my nightstand and I intend to get them all done. Have you read any of these?

WKF's Uncle is here!

WKF has an uncle who is 3. And yipee he is here (with his mom and his dad) for several nights!! We set him up with a sweet sleeping arrangement in his parents' room.

LF, if you like the look of this tent, it is yours to borrow...in case you are planning a big camping trip any time soon.
