Confession #375

Remember when I used to shop local for the finest euro sweet treats? Yea, me too. Oh well. Now I get them at Trader Joes...luckily they taste *almost* as good....and they are cheaper than a plane ticket.

Confession #371

How is it already Monday morning? I'm craving Friday night vibes...cuz our Friday night vibe was so good.

We piled 6 adults into MC's  crazy old  new VW van, blasted some 90's hip hop pandora, and rolled all over town laughing.

So fun to check out the new besaws. You guys, 2 words: Chicken&Waffles.

Their wallpaper give Imperial's wallpaper a run for its money. Je l'adore. Both places make me wanna pursue wallpaper in some way some day...

Ding Dong

Hear that? It's one of my favorite sounds. The dinner bell.

Last weekend, I ate beautifully. Taking photos of your food may be uncool (such a funny link)...but sometimes you just have to...

Working lunch at Cheese and Crack. What did I love more, the name of the restaurant, the tray situation, the homemade crackers, cornichons, the colors, or the spoonful of chocolate ganache with sea salt??? I can't even answer that.
That lunch was a tough act to follow, but an oyster dinner party did the trick. My friend E drove to the coast Friday to pickup freshies. So good.
Always order pizza by color
Yummy treats from Annie, who was with us for the past week, but somehow didn't get photographed

Date Night

We switched things up for a recent date night. I went out with P and O was with W.

P and I hit the nickel arcade - her idea. It was weird and wonderful.
Speaking of weird and wonderful...when I was still in Ams, I heard about PREAM, and knew I had to get there ASAP. It took me longer than it should have to check it out, but I was not disappointed. A pizza joint inspired by the Wu Tang Clan...what is not to love. PREAM stands for pizza rules everything around me. Oh portland, why are you so so cool? Cool vibe was high, in a great way. Loved it.

Meanwhile, at the Moda Center, the boys had a terrible time at the Trailblazers playoff game. W wasn't into it at all...

Big Chief

Here is an old menu from the best restaurant I'll never go to. Luckily I know the chef (O's papa), and he is still an amazing chef who loves to feed us whenever we are together. So fun to see this menu! Probably need to frame it up in our kitchen.

Confession #370

True story: this is my bottom desk drawer at work.

True detail: the lemon flavor chocolate was a purchase inspired by lemonade. The Bey Countdown is sooooooooooo on.

Visitors

This ridiculously cute couple has been with us all weekend! One of Oli's brothers-from-another-mother, and his most lovely lady AH! Such fun to spend time with them...it had been way too long. We ate like kings all weekend, as you do in Portland. Photos below were taken at one of our most favorite places, Yakuza! I hadn't been in years...and it is as good as I remembered, maybe even better.
PS - these two are bike experts, and they invested a ton of time working in our bike track, taking it to all new levels of rad. Which reminds me, I never told you...we built a bike track behind the house. It is muddy and amazing. Photos soon.

Confession #367

It thrills me to know my daughter didn't have to wait 39 years for this to be invented. Amen for innovation.

Brothers

Life gets so busy. We gotta remember to make time for the important stuff. Like this. Time with family is always delicious. Even more so at a restaurant like bang bang. Yum.

Made With Love

So much to say and share from last weekend - which was spent in Park City celebrating a very special lady.

I'll start here, with Easter breakfast. These siblings do not F around when in comes to hollandaise sauce. Yum.

LPQ News

LPQ has a special place in all of our hearts after our time in Amsterdam. To think it just got even better...Big news, big job, go DS.

I just love the feeling you get when your friends are doing cool and inspiring things. Moving and shaking.

I also love knowing that I have a running buddy and a croissant hookup in the big apple.

2016 To Do List

I think my 2016 to do list will be quite long...

Remind me to add this to it: I want to go here. I hope it brings back all sorts of Peru memories for us.

Yum

I think I want to make this cake. Right now. Yum.
