Rules of Friendship

A few rules of friendship that I believe to be true.

1. Make some fabulous friends
2. Enjoy every second you get to spend with them
3. If they die - find a worthy way to honor their legacy

I'm feeling good about #1 and #2.

As we near the two year anniversary of the day KK passed, I have finally found a way to accomplish #3.

Losing Never Felt So Good

Inspiring

This fellow former Catamount is so cool.   Oldest dude to ever win the Art Ross Trophy (thats the one that goes to the guy that scores the most points in a season - so freaking cool).  We knew when we watched him play dominate at UVM that he was amazing.  He sure was and he still is.

Following his insane NHL career through the years has been so fun for all alumni.  

1 day to go!!!

MM continues!  After 3 days of competition, UVM is holding strong to their first place position in their effort to defend the national championship title!  Go Cats Go!!!!  We are cheering from Amsterdam in hopes that the Nordic squad can hold onto the lead to wrap it up today!

March Madness

March Madness means one thing in this house.

Senior Year

A great bud sent me this photo. She still lives in Burlington, and must have walked by my old college digs today. KK and I had an adorable apt on the first floor. So many great memories!

West Coast VKing Club

We all embraced a little bit of our Scandinavian (by way of Vermont) heritage this weekend.  Thank you to the M's for bringing it!

We have talked about connecting the house and guest house with a bridge.  Then today I saw this (here), original source is here.  I think I love it.  

Turns out this home is in VT and it is the home of the granddaughter of F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, that is also pretty cool. 

NCAA CHAMPS!!!

Obviously the entire world already knows the big news!  But, in case you live under a rock and missed it...UVM WON NCAA SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS!  So proud of those Cats.  Obviously I am well aware that skiing catamounts are hot hot hot and the best in the country, but its cool to see O's team capture the official title!  Their last NCAA title was in 1994 and it was time to do it again!!  GO CATS GO! 

Did you know that in college ski racing the team and scoring is based on Men and Women results in both Alpine and Nordic events?  Well, now you do.

Talk about March Madness.  Aghhhhhhhh!  Go Cats Go!

Stowe Moose

Ah Vermont, I love you!  Amazing moose sighting at Stowe (on Nosedive). 

I love a good moose sighting.  I also love Stowe.  O and I got engaged at Stowe (in the halfpipe).  It is such a magical mountain.  

Green Armoire in the Green Mountains

This entire post is great, but what I love most about this VT home is that green armoire. 

Birdie, watch out next time I'm in Ohio, I may attack your gorgeous armoires with some bright paint. 

The view is OK too I suppose.  I do lovermont!

Remember when I was busy being all cowgirl-y in Jackson?  Well, as I maybe mentioned a few times already, my good friend RG was busy being all bride-y in Vermont on the same weekend.  Here are some pix from her epic celebration!
