Daytime Park Music?

Yesterday, during a lovely playdate at the Rose Garden, I realized that this city really needs a daytime kids concert series in the parks.  Does that exist? 

Specifically I want to see Mr. Ben rocking out (Blastoff!) at the Rose Garden Amphitheatre.  Kids looooooooooove to play there, and they love his music and that venue is so special.  Don't you all want to pack a picnic and do this?

More generally, I think any and all music should be shared during the daytime hours in our parks for kids and adults alike.

Does this concept already exist?  If so, do tell! If not, can someone get on it?

I am aware of all the kid-friendly fab park concerts in the summer evenings.  I especially love this series, because of the venue (the amphitheatre).  But I am craving some mid-week, daytime (10am would be perfect) outdoor musical options.

Office Hours

From afar, I admire everything that the John Loecke duo touches.  Their style is so fun and unique and always inspires me.  I have gushed about them a few times before...and here I go again.  I just poked around on their site and fell hard for just about everything in their portfolio.  Some of my favorites are below. 

If this style speaks to you, and you are lucky enough to live in NYC...run run run to their FREE office hours on June 29.  From their blog: "Bring design projects, bring booze, bring bunting, bring Nicki Minaj, bring your boyfriend and dog… I want to answer your burning design queries."

If I were not on the opposite side of the country...I'd pop in with the pix from our photoshoot and I'd ask for some couch advice, some bedroom (design!) advice, some color/pattern advice, and an autograph.

Tis the season.  Who is in for the nudie ride on Saturday??  If nudie rides are not for you...or if you are going camping on the coast that night...there are 228 other theme rides that make up pedalpalooza this year.

Funny Confession #94

O and I enjoyed 24 hours together sans babies for the first time since having babies.  We left the babes with B&B and zipped off to VT for a wedding celebration.  We had a blast.  But...here is the funny confession...we totally forgot to relax...at all.  We charged.  We stayed out late dancing, then we got up early for a long long run. This was taken at the airport on our way home.  We look awful.
