Loved.
We have 18 people in town this weekend, all flew in for the baby fete.
We feel so loved! Party is tonight at 5, so excited. It will be so fun to have our fab PDX crew mingling with our visiting friends and family!
I am trying to rest...but I don't want to miss anything.
Bring on BabyF! Bring on BabyF!

H.S.H.!!!
Thanks to heroic efforts by my O and his bro RF, we are finally back in the house!!! Remodel is about 95% complete (who knows or cares about that last 5%, I am so happy to be home!). Last night was my first shower in the new shower. Amazing.
Oh, and hosting a houseful of visitors (11 house guests, plus O and I and BabyF = full house!!!).

Funny Confession III

I have been told by O that snore when I am pregnant. I did not believe him since I am not the snore type.
O's little bro RF is staying with us this week (in the same room as us, due to ongoing mega nesting project). Little bro has confirmed O's claim.
Research tells me this normal during 3rd trimester.

Big Morning
The new bins were delivered today. This is a big deal and seems to have been very well coordinated thus far. I first blogged about it months ago. It will be interesting to see how the new program goes. Knowing Portland it will go well, we do green right.
We enjoyed watching them deliver the bins as we devoured our buckets o' donuts.
Voodoo Buckets, Voodoo Mayors
The BNEs (best neighbors ever) threw a breakfast fete this morning. RC showed up with two BUCKETS of voodoo donuts. Note, including 2 babies (one still in womb, the other still on an all liquid diet) there were only 8 people at this party....we probably did not need 2 buckets of donuts.
I am wondering if the donuts were left overs from last night's big event at Voodoo? In case you didn't hear about it already...at midnight last night there was a donut eating contest among the PDX Mayoral candidates. Current Mayor (Tom Potter) was the ref.
The pix above are from the Portland Mercury website, they have a great story posted about the event, complete with interviews.

Fag Stubs
In England Cigarette Butts are called Fag Stubs. Which name is worse cig butts or fag stubs? I am not sure...but the problem there is as bad as it is here, maybe worse.
London seems to be making great traction in their battle. I may contact "Keep Britain Tidy" to pick their brains. They launched a huge campaign about 1.5 weeks before we did here in PDX. Their campaign included the construction of this HUGE butt right in Trafalgar Square to raise awareness, great idea!
The article is disturbing in that the # of butts soared for them after the smoking ban. I fear the same for PDX come January. Interesting that they don't really mention that they are motivated to be 'green', their message is "dumping fag stubs on the ground is disgusting and people responsible will face fines.". I like it.

American Gothic Turkeys
BryGuy and his BFF EE (babyF's other Akron grandpa) were on a hunting trip in Iowa, where they stopped for a photo op at the American Gothic house. LOVE LOVE LOVE the picture.
They also got some turkeys, but I was more impressed with the Gothic picture.

Funny Confession II
These pix were taken on the babymoon.
They were taken poolside at the resort.
What is funny about that confession?
Well, it was not the resort where we were staying our nights. We realized early that this resort had a better pool...and so we spent our days there.

Bananas
Per my previous banana post, this shot (from our babymoon) shows that it is no wonder why we are having a garcon.

Spring Garden
Just like everything else a la maison, le jardin needs a bit of work...but it is looking spring-y with all the new plants coming up and the spring colors. Love it. Fabulous O has been busy doing rockwork...loving my new path.
