I loved this Wweek article about Tres Shannon, the founder of Voodoo Donuts. The dude is doing his part to keep Portland weird.

Holiday Pops
I saw this post and fell hard for this project. How adorable are these homemade holiday chocolate pops?!
As noted in a past confession, I love to find DIY projects and pass them along. Usually to my sister and mom. Those two are so good at making things happen. I am better at surfing the web.

Within an hour of sending my sis the link, she texted me these photos. Amazing. No doubt these were the hit of their holiday party.

Apres Ski Fete
I wasn't kidding when I mentioned that we take our fondue seriously. We rallied on Thursday night and threw together an apres ski themed fete for O's work team. Everyone got into the theme and we had a blast.
Season passes and custom stickers were designed by JLo, the girl is good.
Holidays are not here until you gorge yourself on peppermint bark. Done.
Sterno fondue? We weren't sure how this would work out...but it was a hit.
Apres the apres. The host was wiped.
People were "shotgunning" beers on the porch. Wow.
Morning came fast. Faster than I could clean up the beer cans. College style.
Somehow the babes slept through the entire thing. O never reads my blog...if he does, some of these shotgunning beer with coworkers pictures may get removed. You never saw them. Deal?
We are up at the mountain and have been since Saturday. Pretty sure the house still smells like fondue cheese. We'll deal with it in the new year....
Funny Confession #134
I finally accomplished a New Years Resolution (from 2008)! Family Photos!
The super talented HVK helped make it happen for me.
Here is a link to all the above shots and more.
We shot at Oaks Park, I love how it turned out for a backdrop. I also love everything else about that place.
I love how all the shots turned out...but my favorite is the masks in front of the carousel. I blew it up huge and hung it in our kitchen. I keep wanting to post a picture of the picture, but my kitchen is always such a mess....and I keep thinking I'll snap the picture when I clean the kitchen. It could be a while...
Northwest peeps, if you are looking for a photographer, HVK should be your girl. For real. Call her. She lives in PDX but gets up to Seattle lots too. You may recall she also shot our house last summer for stephmodo.
