Funny Confession #79

I think I am aging.  Eek.  Here is the evidence:  One pieces and brussel sprouts

I am really attracted to one piece bathing suits.  Are these (JCrew) suits getting stylish or am I getting old?

And...if you need more proof...I have been making and eating a lot of Brussels sprouts lately.  Weird.  Only old people do that.  Right?

EB is a Stud

Congrats to EB!  EB is the handsome coach in the front row, he is also TB's papa.  He lead the Jesuit Ski Team to a state title in skiing!!!  We shared a house with him and his family on the mountain all winter and it was impressive how well he juggled his team and family commitments, and always seemed totally relaxed and chill.  And by the way he also has a booming day job, building the raddest houses in town.  Total stud.  Read the Q and A in the O with him here

While we are getting excited about March Madness (the snowy version), go CATS go!  The NCAA championships start today...

Happy Bday Leisure!

Happy Bday beautiful girl!  HammyT for life.   xoxo

Photos du Jour

SweetP lost her fever but WKF found it. Tomorrow will be a new day! Sick babies are so sweet, but I want the spunk back around here!

Date Night - There's an App for That

O's urbanspoon app told him that Little Bird is the "Talk of the Town", so he knew he had to plan a date there...thanks urbanspoon, thanks O.

While on our date, I brought up the new app, Public Art PDX, to locate the nearest bit of art, which was this lovely sculpture - Lodge Grass.

How cool is the modern world??  I love it.  Amazing!

How was Little Bird?  Well, thanks for asking.  Although the whole place feels like a bit of a design cliche (think "put a bird on it", and antlers) I think Little Bird was fab.  Food was delicious, service was awesome, and I actually loved the decor...even the birds and antlers.  There are huge windows in the well lit kitchen so as you walk by from the street you can see the kitchen buzzing - I loved that.

this photo is from their site, link above
This pretty photo came from here and was taken by David L. Reamer
This shot shows the kitchen windows...so cool.  I borrowed that photo from the Mercury.

Hip Farmers

The NYT had a great piece about a new generation of farmers here in Oregon.  These guys sure make it look hip and cool and right...

Mardi Gras

Tomorrow is Mardi Gras.  We probably won't be hosting a themed dinner party.

Although 4 years and 6 babies ago, the 6 of us sure celebrated...seems like yesterday, also seems like forever ago.  Happy Mardi Gras!

Tweed Ride

Maybe some year I'll pull it together and particpate in this gorgeous event.  But for this year (like last year) I am just loving seeing the pictures online.  Lovely!

Pretty photos are all by Jonathan Maus
