Fall Boots
A slight chill filled the morning air, creating a perfect excuse to rock fall booties. You know I wish they came in my size.

Funny Confession #170
This just came in the mail today. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I RAN BOSTON! What an awesome memory! Funny that it was no where near my best time, and yet the experience was the BEST TIME. There's a lesson in there somewhere, huh?
TB Too
Wow. We really are going Varsity here in PDX. Remember this post?
Well, there is more big news (for people like me who think retail store openings are big news). Tory Burch is opening a retail store in PDX in October. I hope thatmy home our store looks something like this one (pix from here).
Tory Burch is a "luxury lifestyle brand". I can't wait to pop in andbuy buy buy experience / observe some luxury lifestyle.

Family Hike
Beautiful people, beautiful picnic, beautiful place. Hood River magic.
You know what makes Hood River even better? Having your brother (in law) and his family move there!

J.A.!
And PS - while you are bopping around that area, you may also notice a new jack spade store.
No more JV squad, shopping in PDX just went varsity. I'm sure there are plenty of haters on this topic, but I think its great. You can still support the local shops, but it sure will be fun to have these guys in town too.

I thought you should know
Vajazzle is a word. Wow. Get out your glue gun. Ouch. Thank you mammalingo for keeping me informed of breaking news like this.
Related (in a totally inappropriate way), its good to know "douche" also made the list.
Douche: an obnoxious or contemptible person, typically a man. We all know a douche or 10.
You are welcome. Now get on with your Friday.

Street Jewels
Of course I love this! LOVE!
Spotted on HonestlyWTF (best blog name ever), via Beautiful Decay
Street art is so fun. Right? The best. Makes you want to eat cookies. This is good. Ooh la love. And never forget the yarn bombs, horsies, or poetry.

Funny Confession #169
I saw this and realized my style hasn't changed much since 1983ish. SW sandals and stripes worked as well for me then as they do now.

Step Up
I went to college with JP. She is a great gal. After college she went on to be a 2 time national champion, and recently married a famous bike star (who crushed it in the Tour de France and the Olympics - so cool). Read this and be inspired. If you don't make time to read the whole article, just read this quote "I don’t like when people complain about something but don’t step up to take care of it.” I could not agree more. I am proud to know her. I wish we were all a little more like JP, huh? I borrowed this photo from here, another good interview with JP.
O in his happy place
It was so fun to be there with him! I even wakeboarded for the first time since P was born! This was our first full family boat ride, and we all had a blast. How rad is Portland...all of this right out our door (and down a little hill)!

Oaks
Oaks Park, your vintage charm is as irresistible as the guns and dirty mascot are creepy. We love you anyhow, thanks for always being there for us on Tuesday mornings.
