Happy Halloween II

WKF and his buddies at school got really into Halloween this week.

They got to play with pumpkin guts.

And paint mini pumpkins. He got to bring his home and he was so proud, as he should be (and as am I)! It is sitting on the counter for everyone to admire.

It was a sad morning at our house today...

LF has been here for a full week, and today it was time for her to hit the road again. We had a great visit and we hope she'll come back someday soon. Or perhaps we'll zip out to her island paradise (Nantucket!) for a visit on her turf.

And PS, she is such a polite house guest...folded my laundry, unloaded dishwasher, washed her towels before leaving, played with WKF for hours, babysat one afternoon, and left us with a gift card for our most favorite restaurant - chocolate souffle, here I come!

More Wedding Fabulousness

Now that I am a mom, I can openly admit that moms are usually right. And CN was so right when she told me to wait on posting the wedding pix, since more good ones were coming. Well, as I said, I couldn't wait, I had to post right then.

I have no clue who this gal is, but I am digging her dress and she inspires me to strive for a waist again some day. She looks to be having a great time, I love it.

Surf is Up!

This looks pretty serious! Huge surf competition on the OR Coast tomorrow. They are expecting waves to approach 50 feet!?!? It would be rad to check it out.

We have other plans...perhaps next year?

My Girls are Coming Back

Remember these two??

They are coming back again and I could not be more excited!

We are going to have a superfab girlie girl weekend! If it wasn't so embarrassing (lots of food and ridiculousness), I'd publish our (well thought out and much anticipated) to do list for the weekend.

I just saw KK in bean town (what a lovely hostess!), but can't wait for more time with her. And LF is fitting us in on her cross country jaunt (from Nantucket to Portland)...which she has been documenting beautifully for all to enjoy.

Hurry up ladies, Portland awaits you! Is it tomorrow yet?

Updates on Ashley and Construction

Remember this post, about my friend Ashley? Well...she got the job! Yipee! Be sure to hop on over to AT from time to time to check out her posts. I look forward to seeing how she gets busy "saving the world, one room at a time".

And since I am providing updates about that post, it is with GREAT pleasure that I announce that our contractor just started (in the last hour) the new baby room. This was a few weeks later than we had planned for, but it is a small project and should be done (and fabulous) in time for bebe2. I am excited about the plans for the new room and CANNOT wait to post some pix of the finished project.

Wow! What a Wedding

I remember so clearly when this groom was born. It blows my mind that he is old enough to be married...but the pictures make it real for me. What a wedding!!!

Um, lets start with the boots that the bride wore. Don't you love them?? They make me want to be her friend...or at least meet her for a chai. Lovely J, will you please come up to Portland for a visit...and bring your handsome groom!?

I wasn't there. But I know who the life of the party was...it was this lovely lady. She is so full of spunk and fun...and is also the proud mother of that cutey groom. What a mother in law she must be (in the best way!). CN, we love you!

WKF loves to build towers and knock them down. Sometimes he lets us play along...

He is still digging that "new" bike.

Most of the time he has the biggest eyes...but sometimes he gets so happy and smiles so hard...that those big eyes become squinty...

WKF loves his pull toys. He got 2 for his bday, and its a good thing because he likes to have one per hand...and he does laps around the table. Who needs a dog? Not me.
