Today I ordered carpet for our stairs! Don't tell O, my selection is going to be a surprise.

A weekend with these cuties in beautiful Hood River was a lovely way to ease back into Oregon life.

Pretty sure Annie was the only 85 year old on the teeter totter thing...ever...

It was also a great chance to celebrate Annie, our matriarch who will hit 85 next month! The team below is busy baking a cake using a very old family recipe.

These girls (above and below) put the gorge into gorgeous...or vise versa...or whatever, they are gorgeous

Confession #353

My kids do not go to a school with uniforms, and yet one of them always wears a uniform to school.

He will proudly tell you that last year he wore a (soccer) uniform every single day of the school year, except for the first day and picture day, when he wanted to "look handsome". This year, as you can see, he is going for 100%.

First day was yesterday. They rocked it.

Hotels in Biarritz

As I clean out my euro phone and move into my new US phone (ask me for my new #), I came across this list of hotels that I noted (for looking fabulous) as I cruised around town in Biarritz. I don't want to lose this list, so I am posting it here.

We have raved about our trip there and someday hope to return.  We have also encouraged all friends to check it out. We loved our airbnb digs, but I love a good hotel too, obvi. So, here is a list of hotels at various price points that looked great:

If you plan to spend the vacation in surf camp and eating at le surfing (which you should probably do), you could not find a better location than this apartment/hotel: Carlina.

Busy days here, re-entering our old life with new perspective. Lots of things to catch up on, including oral health. Long over due trips to the dentist today were enjoyable thanks to this amazing wallpaper (and no cavities!).
