A Perfect Ten!
A very gorgeous Akron gal just turned TEN! And...how flattered was I to hear that she wanted to redo her room in "SKF style" for her big bday?!? It went STRAIGHT to my head. I just love love love that she was inspired by my digs. Her mama is so sweet and talented...she totally made it happen. Actually, she made it way better than I could have ever done. (I LOVE the metal back drop for the bed, love the use of the outdoor chair inside - brilliant, so fun). Of course I love the red chandelier! Good work AB, happy bday LB! How great is this room???

Fish Burgers a la Maui
In Maui we fell hard for this restaurant.
O did an amazing recreation of their fish burger for mother's day dinner. The colors were so pretty, I had to document it. It may be a post-vacation phase, but I think I could eat this every night...
If I were you, I'd probably invite myself over the next time O gets the itch to make fish burgers. And if you think "fish burger" sounds gross, don't be deterred. I did too...until I gave it a try.

9 by Design
If I had cable and tivo, I think I'd be obsessed with this show. Here is a bit about them from the NYT . Do you have cable and watch? Is it as good as it looks? I adore the names of their kids. The fifth is named Five. The baby is named Major. The others all have cool names too.

Mom Day!
Sunday was the very best day that I have had for a long time. It was perfect.
I came down (after sleeping in a bit) to a red plate breakfast and flowers!
Who doesn't love a day with an ice cream cake?!?!
And the best gift ever? My new coffee cozy!!! Made with love at school. I sipped with such pride!
I also got a nap, a haircut, a run, lots of time outside in the sunshine, and an amazing maui-inspired dinner. Oh, and I found it pretty awesome to come home from my run to find W napping, P happily strapped onto O's chest, and O chatting on the phone with my grandmother - who he called to wish a happy mama day.

Funny Confession XLX
Although I'm kinda sporty, "sporty" can be a relative term. And compared to the wedding crew, I am not exactly sporty. So...my confession is that I wasn't too bummed when I had to pass on the "extreme hike" that this crew did the day before the wedding. I stayed home to tend to the babies.
It is a good thing I have babies that needed me, because I am pretty sure I would have struggled to keep up with this crowd. The hike involved rock climbing, cliff jumping, scaling waterfalls, and who knows what else. Yikes. However, the pictures (which I borrowed from facebook postings) are pretty rad.
