Funny Confession XX

We brought my grandmother to Mary's club.

I know, I know....weird.

But she is up for fun, we were in the neighborhood (at Voodoo) and her name is Mary. And it IS a Portland institution...very famous, very Portland...

Don't worry, she didn't go in. My sis and I did...but she didn't. It felt all sorts of wrong to pop into Mary's club while my grandmother, my parents and my son waited in the car...maybe that is why LL and I were so quick - in and out. I do feel proud that we gave the family a full tour of all that Portland has to offer....

We had SUCH A GREAT WEEKEND! Thank you MW and LL (and Birdie and Bry) for being here to meet WKF! We looooooooooooooooooooooved having you! We miss you guys already. I hope you have safe travels today! xoxoxo

Horsey

As I have previously posted, here in PDX we have a little thing called the Horse Project . Well, my fab sister read my previous post...and when she arrived in PDX, she had a horse in her suitcase (along with an entirely new wardrobe for WKF, some great books, and a box set of Macgyver DVDs - THANK YOU LL). Our dad gathered the appropriate hardware, as outlined in the Horse Project Instructions,and as a family (four generations)...we got to work installing our new horse right here on our block. Below, a few pix of the project.

Yikes!

This happened very close (1 or 2 miles) to our house, early this morning. This is especially scary since we live on a slope, as I have mentioned before.

Thank god everyone is ok. Yikes.

The Wedding!

I shouldn't be the one to blog about the amazing event this past weekend. I should really let the bride do the blogging. If I were to blog about it, I'd talk about how totally amazing the entire thing was. I'd go on and on about the personal touches on everything - the flowers, the vases, the photobooth (LOVED IT!), the music, the bride's elevator entrance with her amazing mama, the food, the venue, the doggie flower girl, the toasts, the poetry (ha), the dress, grandpa, the families, the cupcakes, the weather, the ceremony, the fireplace....

If I were to blog about it I'd post a few pix that I snaked from other peoples' facebook postings...like this one of the boys
