Still Smiling

Our trip to Annecy was so good I'm still smiling about it. Soon I hope to make time to share some waterskiing highlights, the kids were so into it. In the meantime I'll share these play date snaps. No trip to hautesavoie would be complete without a visit with my buddy K and her little guy C (we missed A).
K- I cannot believe you get to call this region "home". I've loved sharing it with you each visit over past few years. Thanks for making the visits happen! See you on the Eiffel Tower someday in the future...j'espere.

George

Time is moving fast. I'm beginning to accept the that there are good odds that we will not make it to Zandvoort to spend a day by this pool, even though it is high up on my bucket list to get there. If we don't pull it off, I beg you - my dutch friends - to go for me, and enjoy it. George No. 5 at Mer Du Nord looks like heaven in holland.

Life In The Bike Lane

I will miss this view and this life, so much.

Vacation vs.Trip

Trips and vacations are both amazing, so is this guide.  Thank you M. Blazoned, you are brilliant.

Bread Bike

Kinda like my roller crush, I've spotted this character around town several times. But in the busy buzz of bike life, it is hard to whip out a camera and capture the shot, without wrecking myself and others. But as we know, my Dutch days are numbered so I got brave to get the shot.

Goodbyes

July was a long, special, emotional month, full of goodbyes.

For my goodbye to HB, I painted her nails delft-style, since she loved mine at my farewell fete. I still have 1.5 more weeks in Amsterdam, but she and her family have left for a trip and by the time they return we will be gone.

As I proved at my fete, waving goodbye with a fun manicure is a bit easier than waving goodbye with boring nails. Even so, this goodbye was a tough one, it left us all feeling very blauw.
