Going For It

Update: BRONZE BRONZE BRONZE!  She is amazing!    Can't wait to see her on the podium!  Too cool!  

Today is an amazing day to go for gold and Julia is halfway there!!!

SuperJules laid down an amazing downhill run to position her amazingly well for a medal today.  She is  going for gold in 10 minutes.  We are on the edge of our seats here in Amsterdam!  Go Julia Go!!!!

Olympics!

What is not to love about the Olympics!  We are having fun watching as much as we can, though it is hard to find coverage of anything beyond speed skating on Dutch television - thank goodness for the WWW.  All posters from this (honestlyWTF) post are fabulous, these two were especially interesting to me for obvious reasons!  Go USA.

She Is Good

My girl JLo does her part to keep me current.  I am so in love with my updated header.  Is she good or what?!  Merci!  Dankjewel!  Thank you!

As you can see, the refreshed version keeps the style of the original, holds on to all of my Rose City faves (hello minivan, sometimes i miss you!) but now includes some fabulous dutch additions.

This makes me so happy.  Every time I look at it I see more to love in the details - goggles, snowflakes, tulips, roses....perfection.

When JLo isn't getting roped into my side projects, she is busy doing real work over here.  Killing it.

PS -The original (and revised) banner style is a nod to  my favorite light fixture (which still hangs in our pdx home, waiting for us to return).  I think it is so crazy that the post about that fixture was titled "red light district", back in 2009.

We hosted a playdate which became a make-your-own-pizza-in-a-costume party, with the hulk, captain america, a cop and a lion.

I spotted this sidetable at droog and fell hard.

Also at droog, I peeked into their lovely courtyard garden.

Returning to my parked bike always makes me smile.  The sticker kit is not getting old.  Leopard love.

Calendar hung.  I told you I have been getting after my todo list!  It is a work in progress, its not as cute as it was in my mind but it is getting the job done!
