Putting It Out There

For the past 11 years, I have tried and tried to qualify for the Boston Marathon.  I have come painfully close on a few occasions, but in the end I have always fallen short (on one occasion by just a few seconds - ouch ouch). 

On Oct 9 I will give it another try...I'll be running the PDX marathon.  Training is going well and I really feel like this will be my year.  My babies and age maturity have made me physically and mentally stronger than ever before.

 I am sharing all of this because it is important to put yourself out there from time to time.  So here I am...out there....

Boo Irene

Facebook has been the most personal way to receive news of the Irene impact on my favorite state.  I cannot believe these images - all pulled from facebook friends pages.  My heart is sad for VT.

These official looking documents have been very hard to get! The kids are legit Frenchies! Before we plan a fête we want to get my paper work in order. (We realize this will take a while...). 

Did you know French kids cannot have their mother's maiden name as a middle name? Isn't that a weird rule? So little WKF is just WF in French. A bit of a bummer.  But c'est la vie.

I've been running a bunch. This makes me an athlete. We athletes have to listen to our bodies. My body told me to eat all of this. I listened. There is peanut butter in it, hello protein.
